Thomas P. Maus, 76 of Clinton, formerly of Albany, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 7:00pm, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Private family burial will follow at the Lusk Cemetery - Albany the following morning. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Anderson, Chuck Soenksen, Joel Atkinson, Manny Castro, Harlan Law, and Dan Bitler. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to the service time Thursday evening at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Thomas Paul Maus was born on February 27, 1945, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Harold and Mary (Zugenbuehler) Maus. He was a graduate of Savanna High School. He married Betty (Hay) on March 12, 1989 in Las Vegas; she passed away April 4, 2018.
Tom owned and operated the Fulton Meat Market from 1983 until retiring in 2017. He enjoyed playing poker on Monday nights with his poker group, spending the winter months in Florida, and spending time with family and friends.
Tom is survived by three daughters: Stacey Hickey of Maryland, Jenny (Keith) Boysen of Clinton, IA and Monica (Chris) Laufenberg of Clinton, IA; two sons: Mike (Rhonda) Schult of Clinton, IA and Ryan (Kristen) Maus of Delaware; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Betty, he was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Nancy Sisler and her husband Richard.
