Chad E. Caes, 45, of Lost Nation, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Union Presbyterian Church in Lost Nation, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Lost Nation, Iowa Cemetery.

Chad Edmund Caes was born on March 20, 1976 in Davenport, Iowa, to Joseph Herbert and Linda Sue (Sanders) Caes. He was a 1993 graduate of Midland High School. He married Karisa Jo Schmidt on September 23, 2006 in Lost Nation, Iowa. Two children were born to this union, Camrin Joseph and Danika Lee.

Chad had worked in the parts department for 11 years at Yogi's Inc. in Calamus. On May 10, 2011, he began working for P & K Midwest in Maquoketa as a parts lead manager until present.

Chad had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Onslow. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, 4-wheelers and side by sides. He was an excellent mechanic, and a pool shark. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He gave the greatest gift through organ/tissue donation.

Those left to honor Chad's memory include his wife, Karisa Caes of Lost Nation, Iowa; children, Camrin Joseph Caes and Danika Lee Caes; his mother and step-father, Linda and Chuck Streets of Monmouth, IA; a brother, Jake (Jennifer) Sanders of Monmouth, IA; sisters, Rhonda (Bret) Barney of Wyoming, IA, and Cassy Caes of Monticello, IA; mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law, Gary and Mary Schmidt of Lost Nation, IA, and Tammi and Kent Rockow of Davenport, IA; and brothers-in-law, Erik Schmidt of Lost Nation, IA, and Brandon Schmidt of Lost Nation, IA. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his father Joseph Herbert Caes.

In lieu of ther expressions of sympathy, a Chad E. Caes memorial fund has been established.
