The funeral service for Charles (Buddy) Seastrand, 39, of Dubuque, former DeWitt resident who died Saturday night in DeWitt Hospital of injuries received that day in a traffic accident, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound. Visitation will be at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. today.
Charles Seastrand was born Feb. 9, 1931 at DeWitt, the son of Maurice and Leola Barber Seastrand. He married Beverly Redmond, August 7, 1955 at DeWitt.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Charles Jr., Carl, Chad, and Craig; three daughters, Connie, Carla and Christine, all at home; his parents in DeWitt; five brothers, Victor and Robert of DeWitt, Albert of Davenport, Edward W. of Covina, Calif., and John of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five sisters, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Carber, Mrs. William (Jeanne) Grimm, Mrs. Gene (Lorraine) Gilbreath and Mrs. Arthur (Laurice) Lindstrom, all of DeWitt, and Mrs. Elmer (Ruth) Scheper of Bettendorf. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
