Patricia “Pat” Lynn Denklau, 77, of Delmar passed away at Genesis East, Davenport peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 surrounded by her family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 8:30 to 11:30 at Dawson Funeral Services in Maquoketa. Her funeral is to follow and the burial will be held at a later date.

Pat was born on December 17, 1943 in Pontiac, Michigan; daughter of Chester and Vera (Dybol) Engelhart. In November, 1981 she was united in marriage to Richard Denklau in Tampa, Florida. Pat worked at APAC, Walmart, and took pictures at the speedway

She served on the Speedway Fire& Rescue, was passionate about the Children’s Miracle Network, loved taking pictures, knitting, crocheting, along with gardening. Family was everything to her and Pat loved to get together with her family. You would often hear her say “If I was any better I’d be a set of twins” or “I was just testing you”.

Survivors include her husband Richard Denklau, children; John Walker Sr. of Pittsburg, PA, Joseph Walker of Punta Gorda, FL , Christine (Aron) Burkey of Maquoketa step-daughters Sarah Denklau of Coconut Creek, FL, Amy Scharvz of Miami, FL; seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. You did not have to be blood to be family to Pat.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband John Walker.

Memorials may be directed to Children’s Miracle Network or Speedway Fire Rescue in her honor. Cards of condolences may be directed to Dawson Funeral Services Attn: Pat Denklau Family PO Box 258 Wyoming, Iowa 52362.
