Irene (Dion) Reid, 94, of Clinton, Iowa passed away June 29, 2021 at home in Clinton Iowa. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Reid
Born in Norton, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Quinn) Dion, she lived in Pawtucket, Rhode Island most of her life until moving to Clinton, Iowa in where she lived with her daughter Donna and son in-law Cliff for the past 16 years.
She was very involved in her church Clinton Church of Christ where she found friendship and fellowship. She was known to be quite feisty and you never needed to ask to find out her opinion on a subject.
Irene worked at Ledgemont Country Club, Seekonk, MA and Texas Instruments, Attleboro, MA. She also turned her love of photography into a business for several years taking wedding & portrait photographs.
Irene was the first born and last remaining sibling of nine. She leaves 4 children. Robert D.(Marilyn) Reid of Palm Harbor, FL; Donna A.(Cliff) May of Clinton, Iowa; Jeffrey E.(Antoinette) Reid of Pawtucket, R.I. And James A. (Joy Rose) Reid of New Bedford, MA. along with 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A graveside interment will be held August 12, 2021 at 11am at Highland Memorial Park, 1 Rhode Island Ave, Johnston, R.I. Please consider in lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice.
