Nancy Juist (1956-2021)

Nancy Juist, age 65 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at her home following a 10 year battle with ALS. In following Nancy's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Prince of Peace Parish. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, February 28th at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Nancy was born in Clinton on August 26, 1955, the daughter of Harold F. and Marian Rose (Whalen) Isenhour. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1974. Nancy married Joseph P. Judge in 1976 in Clinton. She later married Ron Juist on May 2, 2001 in Las Vegas. Nancy was employed at Paul's Discount and later at the Wonder Bread Store, and ran a cleaning business with her dear friends, Margy Foley and Julie Davis. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. She enjoyed walking, bike riding, fishing, cooking, gardening, and visiting with family and friends, especially her grandson, Vaughn.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ron; her son Bradley (Tanya) Judge of Lone Tree, IA; her grandson, Vaughn Judge; 2 step-children, Dawn Juist (Josh Foster) of Clinton and Sean (Shaunelle) Juist of Phoenix, AZ; 5 step-grandchildren, Jonathan, Raegan, Carlie, Jordan, and Blake; 4 sisters, Marianne Melody of Port Byron, IL, Christine (Chuck) Lang of Fairfield Bay, AR, Amelia (Randy) Snyder of Albany, IL and Judy (Ed) Ryan of Clinton; 2 brothers, Tom (Velvet) Isenhour and Andy (Tammy) Isenhour both of Clinton; brothers-in-law, David (Annie Fabio) Juist of Houston, TX, and Norbert (Kim) Juist of Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law, Dave (Margie) Lehmkuhl of Clinton and Maureen (Steve) Bramley of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harry and a brother-in-law, Lee Melody, and ex-husband, Joe. Memorials may be made to ALS Foundation or Mercy Hospice.
