Shirley E. Boehmer, 77, of Fulton passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home - Fulton. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Sugar Creek, Iowa. Shirley Elaine Jensen was born January 28, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Ervin and Helen (Haferbier) Jensen. She was a 1961 graduate of Preston High School. She married Joseph Boehmer on December 2, 1978 in Sugar Creek, Iowa; he preceded her in death on September 3, 2014. Shirley worked at the Sabula Speaker Factory and Nielsen's for many years. She enjoyed her pets and their companionship. She and her husband enjoyed traveling especially the years they spent in Hawaii. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Clinton.
Shirley is survived by four cousins: Beverly Cusimano of Bellevue, Iowa, Marlene Greve of Clinton, Linda (Ronald) Mangler of Bellevue, Iowa and Julie Cooper of Le Claire, Iowa; late cousins Steven's wife: Carol Haferbier of Green Island, Iowa and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one cousin Steven Haferbier.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
