The Clinton Herald Monday February 24, 1986 p. 12 Dennis E. Mallary, 48, of Severn, died Feb. 15 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center following an extended illness. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at Fort Meade Post Chapel, Md. Burial was in Crownsville Veteran Cemetery, Md., with Military Honors. Pallbearers were an honor guard from Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. Mr. Mallary was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Gary, Ind., to Eugene and Gladys Lutz Mallary. Following his birth, the family moved to Clinton where he was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary's High School. He married Jane Dick, Oct. 6, 1961, at Shamokin, Pa. He served 23 years with the United States Air Force. Mr. Mallary's training included Russian and Chinese language training in Monterey, Calif., and at the University of Indiana. Prior to retirement in 1979, Mr. Mallary served tours of duty in Texas, Maryland, and Alaska, as well as overseas assignments in Okinawa, Taiwan and Thailand. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael, Scott, James and Joseph; and a daughter, Kellie, all of Severn; his parents of Clinton; a sister, Kathy Weed of New Ulm,Minn.; and a brother, Thomas, of Colorado Springs, Colo. He was preceded in death by a brother.
