John “Jack” William Pray age 86 of Clinton, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 at VA Central Iowa Health Care facility in Des Moines. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are being planned at this time.

Jack was born on January 18, 1934, the son of John and Gladys (Steckman) Pray. He graduated from Charlotte and joined the United States Navy. Jack married Ellen Kettelsen and later married Judith Pray. Judith died in 2018. He worked in the feed house and later a pipefitter at ADM. Most recently, Jack worked as a custodian at Ashford University. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to Kansas, California and even Alaska. He was a member of the Eagle’s Club.

Jack is survived by a son Paul (Karen Muetzel) Pray of Clinton; daughter Christine (Chris) Rixen of Clinton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister Gloria (Keith) Lowery of Kansas City, KS and brother Bob Pray of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judy; brothers Dick and Howard Pray and a granddaughter Angie Cooper.
