Obituary

Linda Diane Anderson, 67, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Honoring her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled at this time. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.

Linda was born June 11, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of William and Marilyn (Hoon) Simpson.

Linda was united in marriage to Frank Anderson on February 17, 1982 in Clinton, Iowa.

Linda was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary and the Clinton Bowling Association, and was also a team member on the Bowling55+ League.

Linda truly loved baseball. She was a house parent for the Clinton Giants Baseball team welcoming the players to stay at her home. It’s no surprise that her favorite song was the 1990’s hit “The Boys of Summer”. When not following baseball, Linda enjoyed visiting the Casino.

Linda is survived by her husband – Frank Anderson of Clinton; one son – Chad (Amanda) Aldis of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren – Andrew (Alice), Allie and Anna; Her parents – Bill and Marilyn Simpson of Camanche; one sister – Mary (Bob) Kale of Davenport, FL; two brothers – Roy (Marcia) Simpson of Clinton and Bill (Nellie) Simpson of Camanche; dearest friend – Janet Varner of Clinton with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
