Obituary for WO1 Blake A. Munck
WO1 Blake Anthony Munck, a man of great faith and love of the Lord left his earthly pain and went home Saturday July 25, 2020 into the loving arms of Jesus, our lord and savior. He was greeted by his loving Grams-Kay, Gramma Jane, Grandpa Louie and Aunt Patti along with all other departed loved ones.Blake was born April 28, 1992, at Luke Air Force Base -Glendale, Arizona. He was raised in Arizona and spent many summers in Iowa where he created many close and lasting friendships. He was a 2010 graduate of Millennium High School in Goodyear, Arizona. He and the winter drum line at Millennium High School won the 2010 Arizona State Winter Drum Line Championship, an accomplishment that they often talked about.
In 2012, Blake enlisted in the United States Army. After basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was off to AIT at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and graduated as distinguished honor graduate receiving the class’ highest award. He continued his career rising to the rank of Warrant Officer One. He proudly served the United States Army, protecting our country and its freedoms.
Left to honor him are his loving mom: Kim Munck, grandfather: Tony Schultz, his “special” Aunt Deb and James Lord, their family: Kristin Logan, Kendell Grace Riley, Kerri Michelle (Zach Buchheit) Lord; uncle: Rob (Marla) Schultz: Dawson and Ethan Schultz. his father: Jeff Munck; Blake’s brother: Wesley (Paulina) Munck, Robin Munck; uncles: Gary (Janet) Munck, Larry (Sherry) Munck, Greg (Charlene) Munck, Dan (Kathy) Donahue; aunts: Marie Perry, Lonnie (Ron) Fell, Judy Olson, Jolee Witt, Gay (John) Smith, Laurie (Steve) Guidebeck, and Nancy (Paul) Burke; as well as many cousins and many many friends he will be deeply missed.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
