Russell A. Hebeler, 82, of Clinton passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home - Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church - Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Lambert, Justin Lambert, Devan Sattler, Andrew Sattler, David Malli, and Steve Waldorf. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Russell Allen Hebeler was born December 16, 1937 in Charlotte, Iowa, the son of Henry and Velma (Betle) Hebeler. He was a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School and then served in the United States Army. He married Nancy White on October 12, 1963 in Clinton. Russ worked for Hawkeye Chemical in Maintenance.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton and the Clinton AMVETS Club. He enjoyed couples card club, working on cars, tractor pull and attending the Iowa State Fair. Russ was an avid Hawkeye and Green Bay Packer's fan; but mostly he enjoyed time spent with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Russ is survived by his wife Nancy Hebeler of Clinton; three daughters: Catherine (Brian) Benthin of Clinton, Christine (Dave) Lambert of Clinton and Charline (Jeff) Malli of Clinton; six grandchildren: Morgan Benthin of Clinton, Nathan (Liz) Lambert of Clinton, Justin Lambert of Clinton, Devan (Yendi Polo) Sattler of New York, New York, Andrew Sattler of Clinton and David (Kate) Malli of Clinton; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Linda Hebeler and brother-in-law: Bill Long; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Carolynn Long, Lynn Hebeler and Lola Achepohl.
Memorial may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Muscular Dystrophy or MercyOne Clinton Hospice.
