August 31, 1894AN AGED LADY PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Rebecca Koons, who had attained the advanced age of 83 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Godfrey, in the north part of the city Saturday.
Deceased was born in New York in 1813, and was married to Alexander Koons in 1832. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Dockstader, of Hastings, Minn., and Mrs M. J. Godfrey, of Clinton. Her husband died in Lyons last December at the advanced age of 84 years. Short services will be held at the house today at 4 o'clock. The remains will be taken to Red Wing, Minn. for interment, leaving Monday morning at 8:30 over the Milwaukee.
