Sherwood C. Elliott, 89, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House - Bettendorf.

Sherwood Charles Elliott was born on March 16, 1931 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Irwin and Bessie (Shriner) Elliott. He was a graduate of Savanna High School. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He married Barbara Champion on July 17, 1990.
Sherwood was employed with railroad, MetForm, ADM and the US Postal Service. He enjoyed mowing his yard and having it meticulous, he also loved his dogs: Curly Sue and Lucy.
Sherwood is survived by his wife: Barbara of Clinton; his children: Sherwood Elliott, Jr. of Marion, Michigan, Sherrie Matthews of Clarksville, Tennessee, Jeff Elliott of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, Sheryl Trimble of Clinton, Sheila Herman of Clinton, Sandy Bice of Clinton, Scott (Dawn) Elliott of Thomson, Illinois, Sonya (Steve) Lewis of Clinton, Kari (Troy) Higgins of Hanford, California, and Thomas (Lori) Martin of Fulton, Illinois; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, and his sister: Betty Wehrli of Kingman, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
Memorials can be made to the local chapter of Make a Wish.
