Gertrude M. Dalldorf age 95 of Wheatland, IA formerly of Clinton, passed away Wednesday Feb. 26, 2020 at Wheatland Manor. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 AM at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday 9:30 AM until service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Gertrude was born on Feb. 28, 1924 in Lyons, IA, the daughter of Hans and Martha (Wolff) Hensel. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1942. She married Ernest Dalldorf in 1950 in Clinton, he died in 1971. Gertrude worked at National Tea Company, JCPenney, and was a Realtor in Clinton. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Naomi Circle, Bible Study group, Church quilting club, and the church sauerkraut supper. She was an avid reader and loved dancing. She drove seniors to doctor appointments and the grocery store. Gertrude volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Clinton.
Gertrude is survived by her sister, Janet (Karl) Wagner of Dixon, IA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society of Iowa.
