Mrs. Douglas D. Mansfield

Mrs. Douglas D. Mansfield who lived many years in Clinton died at 11:20 am Sunday in the home of her daughter Mrs. C. B. Mills Jr. in Minneapolis. She had been in failing health but became seriously ill only about a week ago.

The body will arrive in Clinton at 5:;20 o'clock this afternoon and will be taken to the Shadduck funeral home where services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday. The Rev. Thomas Horton, D.D. pastor of St. John's Episcopal church will officate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Hannah Mellen was born July 27,1864 in Lancastershire, England. The family came to Clinton when she was a child. She was married to Douglas D. Mansfield, a NorthWestern railroad engineer.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mills, Minneaplolis: a sister Mrs. H. E. Oates, New York city and two grandchildren, Charles B. Mills, III and Miss Martha Mills both of Minneaplois. She was preceded in death by her husband: a son, Dr. J. M Mansfield, and three brothers, Thomas, George and Jonathan Mellen.
