Michael Simmons, 25, Delmar, nephew of Mrs. Marguerite Moreland and Mrs. Charles Lyons, was killed in a car accident March 8 near Delmar.
He was born March 15, 1954, the son of Marvin Dean and Linda Simmons of BeMont, WI. He is survived by his wife and three children, his parents, three brothers, Mr. Larry Simmons, Cuba City, WI; Gary and William, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Simmons, Madison, WI, and Terry, at home.
Services were held Tuesday, March 11, at the Bonin Funeral Home in Delmar. Rev. Kenneth McClain was the officiating clergyman. Organist was Mrs. Emmaline Kilpatrick and guitarists were Delbert Becker and Albert White. Pallbearers were Robert Ringen, Robert Gentz, Michael McCarville, Neville Stamp, Randy McKeon, Michael Thompson, David Price and Dave Theilend. Interment was in Belmont cemetery.
Mrs. Moreland spent several days with the Simmons family, returning to her home after the services.
Other relatives from Olin who attended the funeral were Mrs. Clyde (Charlene) Taylor, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Lyon, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Garside, Wyoming, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gronewald and Lana Sue, Stanwood, and John Moreland, Cambridge, IL also attended.
