Corrine J. Evers, 89 of Bryant passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held with inurnment at Clinton Memorial Cemetery.

Corrine was born in Clinton on October 19, 1930, the daughter of Broder and Viola (Dethmann) Heel. She married Paul Evers on October 23, 1948, in Clinton. Paul died December 30, 2019. Corrine worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern before becoming the bookkeeper for Paul’s corn shelling business. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards. Most important to her was the time spent with family and friends. After moving from the farm to Bickford, she quickly adopted many of the staff there into her family, as well. Corrine was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Andover.

Corrine is survived by two children, Terry (Susanne) Evers of Camanche and Sherri (Terry) Petersen of Miles; four grandsons, Terry Paul Jr. (Li Jun) Evers of Camanche, Robert Evers of Clinton, Brian (Amy) Petersen of Davenport and Ben (Emily) Petersen of Clinton and seven great grandchildren, Grace, Bobby, Kylie, Kadence, Gunner, Lucy and Broder. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial Service:

According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held with inurnment at Clinton Memorial Cemetery.
