Lois A. Howes age 71 of Camanche, passed away Friday May 1, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center in DeWitt. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday May 6th at the Pape Funeral Home with a visitation held 10:00 AM until the service hour. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Lois was born on Oct. 20, 1948 in Alexandria, LA, the daughter of Clarence and Sarah (Brown) Russell. She married Charles Howes on June 21, 1969 in Galena, IL; he died in 2013. Lois worked at General Electric, RW Liquidators, and Medical Associates. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales and Second Hand stores. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Blackhawks, and a NASCAR – Kurt Busch fan. She loved watching her grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her son, Phillip (Toni) Howes of Camanche; two grandchildren, Catarina and Charlie Howes; her three sisters, Earlene Baker of Davenport, Paulene (David) Herch of Clinton, and Judy Sanders of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, three sisters, her father and mother-in-laws, and two nephews.

Visitation:

Visitation held 10:00 AM Wednesday May 6th until the service hour at the Pape Funeral Home.

Service:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday May 6th at the Pape Funeral Home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
