Lost Nation, Iowa, April 2--Fred A. Schwake was born in Germany, Nov. 8, 1895. Her mother died while she was still an infant. At the age of six years, she came to America and made her home with her aunt, Mrs. F. Schischat, until about a year ago. At this time she went to Davenport, where she died March 26, 1915. The cause of her death was acute peritonitis and her illness was of short duration. She is survived by her father and two aunts, Mrs. F. Schischat and Mrs. Ernest Evers of Minnesota. She was 19 years, four months and 18 days old at the time of her death. The body was brought here Monday evening and funeral services held from the Lutheran church Tuesday morning, Rev. Vollmer conducting the services. Interment was made in the Lost Nation cemetery. Miss Schwake was not very well known in this community having lived near Maquoketa most of the time before going to Davenport. The Schischat family were quarantined for scarlet fever and the funeral services were therefore conducted at this place.
