ONE HURT AND ONE KILLED IN DOUBLE SPILL
Harold Rasmussen of Charlotte Fatally Injured After Aiding Another
WILL SHEAR HAS LEG CUT
Auto Turns Turtle and Shear Hurt--On Way Back from His Home Turns Over Again
One man killed and another with a seriously cut leg is the result of a double accident yesterday in which the same automobile twice overturned. Harold Rasmussen, harness dealer of Charlotte, is dead from internal injuries, while Will Shear lies badly hurt in his home a few miles southeast of Charlotte.

Details of the accident are lacking, but from various sources it is gathered that the car in which Shear was riding overturned near Charlotte. Dr. Smith of that place was called and found Shear suffering from severe cuts about his legs, necessitating the taking of over thirty stitches to close the wounds. Mr. Rasmussen was picked up several feet away, in an unconscious condition. He was hurried home and every effort made to save his life. His relatives in Clinton were called, but before they could reach his bedside he had died. It was found that death had been caused by a ruptured bladder.

Mr. Rasmussen was born in Denmark, Aug. 23, 1881. He was a harness maker by trade. He lived in Clinton for some time and then moved to Charlotte. He is survived by his wife and two children, Bellina and Jurgen, by two brothers and a sister in Denmark, and by a brother, A. C. Rasmussen, in Clinton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday noon. Mrs. Rasmussen's mother, Mrs. Petersen, is expected from California Thursday morning and the funeral is being delayed until her arrival. Services will be held briefly Thursday noon at the home in Charlotte, then in automobiles, using Shadduck's automobile hearse, the funeral party will drive to Clinton where services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Danish Lutheran church, with Rev. Gottke officiating. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery. The Masonic lodge will have charge of the services.
