Mrs. Margaret Farwell, aged 86, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. K. Ryder, at 11:45 o'clock, today after several weeks illness of bronchial pneumonia. She was born in Denmark, New York, Sept. 24, 1818. She was married Feb. 4, 1818 and moved with her husband to Whiteside county in 1853.

She was the mother of nine children, six of whom survive, two daughters, Mrs. G. K. Ryder and Mrs. W. A. Latham, residing in DeWitt.

Mrs. Farwell and her husband came to DeWitt in 1906 to make their home with Mrs. Ryder. Mr. Farwell died the following year.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the Ryder home, with interment in Elmwood cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Margaret Farwell was held this afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. K. Ryder, conducted by Rev. R. K. Chapman. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery.
