Mrs. Nicoline Katherine Margaret Wendt died shortly after midnight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Goldensoph, 527 Sixteenth avenue; this morning.

The deceased had been ill about a year with cancer and for the last 22 weeks had been confined to her bed. The best care and medical aid possible was given her. She passed away at 12:15. She was 78 years, six months and 15 days old at the time of her death, and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Christina Goldensoph, two sons, John and Theodore Wendt of Denison; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one brother, Ernest Boss of Denison.

Miss Nicoline Katherine Margaret Boss was born April 18, 1839, in Hansohn, Holstein, Germany. On February 22, 1861, she was married to Charles Henry Wendt of Scheswig. Six children were born to them, three having died in infancy. In 1869 the deceased with her family came to Clinton, where they lived for 20 years. Then they moved to Crawford county, where they lived on a farm for 13 years, but returned and moved to Denison, where her husband passed away November 16, 1912. Since then the deceased has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Goldensoph, of 537 Sixteenth avenue, Clinton.

The funeral will be held next Monday afternoon from her late residence, burial to be made in Springdale cemetery. Rev. Hugo Grimm, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church of Lyons, will officiate in both the German and English languages.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Nicoline Kathryn Margaret Wendt was held at 2 o'clock from the house of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Goldensoph, 527 Sixteenth avenue. Rev. Grimm, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church officiated, conducting the service in the English and German languages, and interment followed in Springdale cemetery.

The pall bearers were Jens Jesse, Detlef Payson, Hans Dreller, John Gerche, Sam Johnson and Ben Tietgens.

Many friends of the deceased followed her remains to their resting place, including a number from Chicago, DeWitt, Bryant and other cities.
