Wheatland, Ia., Oct. 13--Little Ruth Dorothea, the 14-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Martens, died at the Donald MacLean hospital here on Sunday evening, October 7th, following an operation for stoppage of the bowels. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Eschbaum of Grand Mound. Mr. and Mrs. James Hetherington of Davenport came Sunday and remained until after the funeral of their little niece.
