Mrs. Mamie E. Ekland of 643 Washington street received a message last night informing her of the death, at Columbus, Ohio, of her brother, John Farrell.

No particulars were given. The message came from a Columbus undertaker who informed Mrs. Ekland that her brother's body was in his establishment and desiring instructions as to its disposition. Members of the family wired immediately for more details.

The deceased was about 30 years of age, and by occupation was a metal polisher. He left Clinton about two years ago and it is understood had been following his trade in Columbus.

Funeral services for John Farrell were held this afternoon from the Mt. Vernon undertaking establishment at Columbus, Ohio.
