Mrs. Mary Haven, a long-time resident of the city, passed away at 10 o'clock this morning at Mt. Alverno, where she had made her home the past two years.

Mrs. Haven was 84 years of age. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland, in 1833, and came to this country when about 14 years of age. She came west, locating in Davenport where she married Grant T. Haven in 1861. Mr. Haven was a veteran of the Civil war and preceded her in death. She had no children and for thirty years had made her home at 132 Seventh avenue, this city. Charles Felner, of Clinton is a nephew of the deceased.

The funeral arrangements were not announced today.
