Saturday night at 11:50 occurred the death of John Kuhl residing at 1052 West Main street. The deceased was born in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany May 9th, 18?7 and came to this country when 24 years of age and first resided in Jackson county, then coming to Clinton where he has resided ever since.

He was married to Miss Elizabeth Frahm 35 years ago. He leaves to mourn besides his wife, five children: John Kuhl of Andover, Pete Kuhl of Andover, Willie Kuhl of Andover, Mrs. Peter Joens of Lyons and Mrs. Hans Holm of Lyons. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home on West Main street. Burial will be in Andover cemetery. Rev. Hugo Grimm will officiate.

The funeral of the late John Kuhl was held Tuesday afternoon from his home on West Main street. The funeral was very largely attended, and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. Rev. Hugo Grimm officiated in the German and English language and interment was made in the Andover cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs Peter Joens, John Dierks, Peter Kruse, John Wilke, Peter Gehlsen and Herman Holm.
