Peter Ketelsen, aged 68 years, died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday morning at Mercy hospital, after a three week's illness. The deceased received a stroke of paralysis about three weeks ago and was taken to the hospital for treatment, but gradually grew worse until the end this morning.

Mr. Ketelsen was born March 20, 1849 in Ochholm, Schleswig, Germany, and came to this country in 1831 settling in Lyons, where he has lived ever since. He was united in marriage February 8, 1871 to Katherine Jacobsen in this city. The deceased was a well known resident of this city and had a large circle of friends who will be grieved to learn of his death. He was employed at Curtis Factory up until the time of his illness.

Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Ketelsen, two dying in infancy. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Marcus D. of Lyons, Chris M. of Lewistown, Mont., Cornelius of Lyons, Mrs. H. A. Klatt of New Hampton, Iowa, Mrs. J. A. Collins, of Clinton, Fred of Lyons, Mrs. R. O. Holle, of Clinton and Marie and Edward at home.

No arrangements have been made for the funeral pending word from his son in Montana but it is probable the funeral will be held Monday afternoon from his late home.

The funeral of Peter Ketelsen will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home, 712 Fifth avenue . Rev. Hugo Grimm of St. John's Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be made in Oakland cemetery. Chris Ketelsen of Lewiston, Mont. will arrive in the city today.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon for the late Peter Kettelsen at his home, 712 Fifth avenue and many friends of the deceased attended. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Rev. Hugo Grimm of St. John's Lutheran church conducted the services and interment was made in Oakland cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs. Willim Niebuhr, Fred Herman, Hans Asmussen, Otto Diesing, David Munz and Paul Zapella. Relatives from a distance who were here were Chris Ketelsen of Lewistown, Mont. and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Klatt of New Hampton, Iowa.
