The funeral of Mrs. Johanna Hansen was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Danish Lutheran church. The Rev. P. E. Gotke officiated at the services and burial was made in Elmwood cemetery at DeWitt, Ia. The pallbearers were Chris Madsen of Clinton, M. Erickson of Low Moore, Hans Rasmussen, Hans Anderson, H. Christensen and Louis Christenshen of DeWitt, Ia.
Mrs. Hansen died Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock at Agatha hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1840 in Denmark and came to America in 1892 settling at DeWitt, with her husband. The latter preceded her ten years. While in Clinton she made her home with a son, H. P. Hansen, at 405 1/2 North Second street.
Surviving to mourn her death are one daughter, Sophie Hansen, of Independence, Ia.; and three sons, H. P. Hansen of this city, Chris and Fred of DeWitt.
