Mrs. John Rittmer died at her home in Andover last night at 6 o'clock, death being due to old age.

Elsabaer Edens was born in Schleswig Holstein, Germany, March 15th, 1829, and came to this country 35 years ago. She was united in marriage April 6th, 1851, to John Rittmer, who died 10 years ago. Ten children were born to them, of which seven are living. These are Mrs. William Peters of Bryant, Henry Rittmer of Olin, Mrs. John Aude of Andover, Peter Rittmer of Andover. George Rittmer of Andover, Herman Rittmer of Bryant, Mrs. William Behrns of Bryant.

She also had 32 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and one brother living in Germany.

The funeral will be held at the home at 3:30 Sunday afternoon, Rev. Lutz will officiate. Burial will be made in Andover cemetery.

Andover, Ia., Aug. 21--A very large crowd attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Rittmer, which was held Sunday afternoon from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John Aude. Burial was made in Andover cemetery and the casket was attended by six grandsons of the deceased, Peter and John Rittmer, Arthur Peters, Virtus Rittmer, George and John Aude.
