Mrs. Fred Wilke died suddenly this morning at 9:15 o'clock at her home on West Main street, death being due to heart trouble.

Mrs. Wilke had been ailing for the past six months, but was up and around the house all the time. Her death was quite sudden this morning and will come as a shock to her many friends.

Deceased was born November 20th, 1863 in Hampshire township, living in Hampshire township and Spring Valley township and later moving to Lyons. Mrs. Wilke, whose maiden name was Volkman, was married to Fred Wilke November 10th, 1881.

She is survived by her husband, one son Carl Wilke, and two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Herrick of Beloit, Wis., and Miss Berniece at home. Also one brother Henry Volkman of Davenport and one sister, Mrs. John Sievers of Andover.

No arrangements have been made as yet for the funeral.

The funeral of Mrs. Fred Wilke, who died suddenly yesterday at her home 1064 West Main street will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late home, Rev. A. H. Lutz of the Zion Lutheran church in Clinton officiating. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.

Relatives here for the funeral are: Henry Volkman, Davenport; Miss Spring, Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. John Sievers and family, Andover.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Wilke were held at the home on west Main street yesterday afternoon. Rev. Lutz of the Zion Evangelical church officiated and preached an eloquent funeral service. Many friends gathered at the home to pay their last respects.

The following neighbors of the deceased acted as pall bearers: A. J. Lally, H. Langheim, Ed Metzgar, F. Tiesse, L. Tritschler and C. Ladehoff. Out of town relatives here were Henry Volkman, Davenport, Miss Spring, Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. John Sievers, Andover.
