George Meister, aged 55 years, an employe at the Clinton Sugar Refining company, died suddenly this morning shortly before 8 o'clock. His death was due to an attack of heart disease.

Mr. Meister roomed and boarded at Mrs. Bruhn's boarding house, 1049 Camanche avenue. He arose this morning apparently in his usual condition of health, ate a hearty breakfast, and went to work at 7 o'clock. An hour later he was taken with the seizure and collapsed.

Dr. J. D. Hullinger was hastily summoned and used a hypodermic, but he arrived too late to save the man's life.

Mr. Meister had resided in Clinton several years, and has a son here, who is a pipe-fitter at the sugar refinery. He has a daughter living in Peoria.
