page 6Word was received today by Mrs. Mary Hogendahler, 420 Ninth avenue, telling of the death of Fred Boughner, a former Clinton boy, who was born and reared in this city. Death was the result of a street car accident in Milwaukee on July 15, in which he suffered a broken back and one foot severed above the ankle. He died in a Milwaukee, Wis. hospital on Tuesday of this week.
Deceased was well known here, a veteran of the Spanish-American war, having served with Company L Iowa infantry. He was formerly employed with the Journal as linotype operator.
Funeral services will be held in Chicago Thursday at the home of his mother.
