Arthur Klahn, 63, farmer living near Wheatland, died Wednesday morning in the DeWitt Community hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks following a heart attack. Funeral services are pending.

Funeral services for Arthur H. Klahn, 63, Wheatland farmer were held Sept. 24 in the Presbyterian church at Wheatland with the Rev. Keith Trembath officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery near Wheatland. Louis Witte was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Christianson, organist.
Mr. Klahn died Sept. 21 in the DeWitt community hospital where he had been a patient for 3 weeks following a heart attack.
Pallbearers were Charles Cramer, Arnom Meier, Robert Cavey, Raymond Brinkmann, Wilbert Hass and Charles Wentworth. Mrs. Wilbert Hass and Mrs. Arnom Meier had charge of the flowers.
Arthur H. Klahn, son of Otto and Charlett Stoecker Klahn, was born June 13, 1897, on the Klahn homestead northwest of Wheatland. He received his education in the rural school and was married June, 1920, to Myrtle Granzow of Bismarck, S.D. With the exception of a few years when they operated the Trio Café in Lowden, a grocery store in Wheatland, Mr. Klahn lived his life on the farm where he was born. He was a life-long member of the Evangelical and Reformed churches in Lowden and Wheatland.
Survivors are his wife, a son, Kenneth, Abilene, Texas; 2 daughters, Geraldine, Santa Ana, Calif. and Mrs. Garrison (Patricia) Evens, Anaheim, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Leslie (Luanna) Behnke, Wheatland and 6 grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and grandson.
