Mrs. John Allen, formerly of Lyons, passed away at the home of her son, Joseph Allen in Savanna, Ill. at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Allen was the wife of the late John Allen and was a resident of Lyons for thirty-five years living the last five years in Savanna with her son.

She is survived by one son, Joseph, and three grandchildren, also one niece, Mrs. W. T. Walsh of Clinton.

The funeral services will be held from St. John's Catholic church in Savanna Saturday morning at 8 o'clock. The remains will be taken to Lyons over the Milwaukee railroad and burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. Those wishing to view the remains can do so at the cemetery.

The remains of the late Margaret Allen, who died in Savanna, were brought here this morning for burial. The body arrived here about 10 o'clock and burial was in Calvary cemetery.

The following friends of the deceased acted as pallbearers: James McAuliffe, Sr., T. J. Hudson, Maurice Foran, Charles Schalle, John Krebs, and William Fitzgerald.
