Mrs. John H. Ladehoff, a former resident of Lyons, passed away at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at her home in Davenport. Death was caused by a complication of diseases from which the deceased had suffered since last December.

Mrs. Ladehoff was born in Germany about 47 years ago, and came to America and to this city in her early youth. She lived with her husband and family in Lyons for many years.

Surviving Mrs. Ladehoff are her husband, a daughter, Florence, of Davenport, and three sons, Henry of Fulton, Harry of Davenport and Albert of this city.

The funeral will be held from the Davenport home on Friday afternoon. Interment will be in a Davenport cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary L. Ladehoff was held yesterday afternoon from the late residence in Davenport. The Rev. Hugo Grimm of the St. John's Lutheran church of this city, officiated, and burial was in Fairmont cemetery, Davenport.

Mrs. Mary L. Ladehoff, nee Brandtmann, was born September 10, 1869 in Holstein, Germany. At the age of two years, with her parents, came to Jackson county, Iowa. On April 24, 1889, she was married to John H. Ladehoff. Four children were born to this union. Up to May of this year they lived in Lyons and then moved to Davenport. She had been ill about a year with cancer. She was operated on at Rochester in the Mayo Brothers hospital. She passed away Wednesday afternoon about one o'clock at the age of 48 years, two months and 11 days. The funeral was held Friday afternoon with the services at the residence.

She is survived by her husband, and four sons, Henry of Fulton, Albert of Lyons, and Harry of Davenport and a daughter, Florence at home, her mother, Mrs. Annie Brandtmann of Maquoketa, five brothers, John Brandtmann, Rochester, Minnesota, Peter Brandtmann of Marshall, Minnesota, William Brandtmann of Minneapolis, Henry Brandtmann of New York City, and Chas. Brandtmann of Maquoketa, and two sisters, Mrs. Cliff Grover of Teeds Grove and Mrs. Minnie MacPeak of Lost Nation. The pall bearers were Otto Rockrohr, Henry Hagge, Emil Kofahl, Wm. Peterson, of Lyons and Henry Volkmann and Ernest Archberger of Davenport. The following people from this city attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rochrohr, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hagge, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Ladehoff, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Ladehoff, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kofahl, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Spender, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Joens, Mrs. Fenzel and Miss Borbeck and the Misses Viola amd Leota Ladehoffr.
