Nels Sorensen, a former Clinton shoemaker, died suddenly Wednesday at Shannon, Iowa, where his son is in the drug business.
Mr. Sorensen was working in the drug store when he was seized by an attack of heart failure, which proved fatal. He was about 50 years of age, and for several years conducted a shoe repairing shop on Second street in this city. The remains will reach the city today, for interment here.

The funeral of Nels Sorensen was held Friday afternoon at the Danish Lutheran church, with the pastor, the Rev. P. F. Gotke, in charge. The members of the Danish Brotherhood attended in a body. The pallbearers were N. A. Gaarde, Henning Henningsen, Anders Hansen, Nels Borup, Chris Boysen and Jacob Dahl.
Mr. Sorensen leaves to mourn his death a wife and son, Schiller, of Shannon, Ill.; a brother and two sisters, Hans Sorensen, Mrs. Ben Jurgensen and Mrs. Peter Allissee, of Clinton.
