Mrs. Herman Steele, wife of the Rev. Herman Steele, a retired Baptist minister, died at their home in Camanche Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Steele was born and raised in Camanche, and was one of the most highly respected women of the community.

She leaves with her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Newcomb, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. George Savage, Des Moines.

The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home.
