Mrs. Katherine Caroline Ladehoff, aged 74 years, six months and sixteen days, died very suddenly yesterday afternoon at her home, 213 Ottawa street. Mrs. Ladehoff was up and about the house during the day and did not complain about being ill. Her death occurred at 3 o'clock. For the past year she has been suffering from asthma.

Katherine Volkmann was born August 27, 1842, in Holstein, Germany. On March 6th, 1853 she was united in marriage to Henry Ladehoff and to this union ten children were born, three dying in infancy. In 1882 the deceased with her husband and children came to Lyons, where they have lived ever since. She was a well known and highly respected resident of this city and her many friends will be grieved to learn of her death.

Surviving the deceased is her husband and seven sons, Henry of Glendale, Montana; John, Gustav, Herman and Carl of this city; Julius of Bismarck, N.D., and Emil of Armstrong, Iowa; twenty-five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from her late residence, 213 Ottawa street, with Rev. Hugo Grimm officiating. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Henry Ladehoff, will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from her home, 213 Ottawa street. Rev. Hugo Grimm will officiate. Interment will be made in Oakland.

The remains of Mrs. Henry Ladehoff were laid to rest in Oakland cemetery after funeral services at her late home on Ottawa street by Rev. Hugo Grimm, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Grimm preached an eloquent sermon, and many friends of the deceased were present. The pallbearers were four sons and two grandsons, as follows: Gustave Ladehoff, John Ladehoff, Charles Ladehoff, August Ladehoff, Henry Ladehoff, and Herman Ladehoff. Among the relatives present from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. August Ladehoff of Monticello, and Mrs. Julius Ladehoff and two daughters of Preston.
