Will T. Cressler of Cincinnati, Charles Cressler of Scranton, Elmer Cressler of Wichita, Kas., George Work of Nebraska, Mrs. Cressler, wife of the deceased, and two sisters, were here to attend the funeral of the late John L. Cressler, which was held Monday. A short service was held at the W. E. Beard, Sr., home, where the body was taken Sunday, the remainder of the service was conducted at the cemetery by Rev. D. W. Witham.

The pall bearers were C. W. Cressler, Will T. Cressler, E. E. Cressler, Geo. Work, Chas. Butterfield and W. E. Beard.

John L. Cressler was born Oct. 26, 1849. Died April 5th, 1917. Deceased was born in Shippensburg, Pa., coming with his parents to Iowa in 1853, living on a farm in Scott county until 1872, when he moved with the family to DeWitt, where he engaged in the grocery business with his father and brother until 1883, when he moved to Nebraska on a farm near Hazard. He was married to Miss Clara H. Work of DeWitt in 1877. They moved to Ravenna, Neb., in 1904, where he passed away. He leaves besides his wife, three brothers and one sister to mourn his death.
