Joyce J. Frederick, age 83 of Clinton, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at Mercy One Hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Pape Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services. Burial will be held at a later date.

Joyce was born in Clinton on October 24, 1935, the daughter of Elmer and Grace (Crampton) Bartow. She attended Lyons Schools. Joyce married Eugene Frederick on March 26, 1954 in Maquoketa, Iowa. She had been employed at Lord Baltimore and later International Paper. As a homemaker Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren, who will remember her as their personal Google. She liked watching Nancy Grace’s True Crimes, playing bingo, going bowling and to yard sales. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cryptoquote and being with her pets.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years, Eugene; 5 children, Sherry (Thomas Wickes) Parker of Clinton, Lori (Daniel) Jones of Clinton, Kristy Pohl of Clinton, Jeannie (Kenny) Stage of Miles and Mark Frederick of Milan, MI; a step-son, Eugene Flierl of Erding, Germany; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Josh, Sommer, Jeremy, Ciara, Karissa, Skylar, Marshall and Taylor; 2 step-grandchildren, Stefan and Benjamin; 14 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Terry Ramig; a grandson, Ryan and a son-in-law, Larry Ramig. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
