DeWitt, Ia., Feb. 13--Mrs. Elizabeth Walrod died at 1 o'clock Monday morning at the age of 84 years at her home in southwest DeWitt. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George McDonald, living southeast of DeWitt, and Mrs. Alice Ten Eyck, with whom she made her home; also by two sons, L. H. Walrod, living southeast of DeWitt, and Orrin Walrod, living in Wyoming. The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home.14 February 1917 - The Clinton Advertiser page 3
The Rev. G. D. Rogers of the First Baptist church has gone to DeWitt to officiate at the requiem services of Mrs. Eliza Walrod.
Mrs. Ella Jordan Weise of this city will furnish the special music.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Walrod, who died Monday morning at her home in Southwest DeWitt, was held yesterday afternoon at the residence at one o'clock, Rev. Geo Rogers of the Baptist church of Clinton had charge of the services. Appropriate hymns were sung by Mrs. Ella Jordan Weise of Clinton.
The pall bearers were Clair McCard, Morgan Orndorff, Clarence McDonald, Hiram Walrod, Hans Boyson and Frank Carber.
Among the out of town people who were present at the funeral were M. Harrington, Mrs. Robt. Allison, Mrs. H. Steward, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Boyson and Mrs. Edwin Miller of Grand Mound.
Deceased was aged 84 years. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John McCord of Wyoming, Mrs. Geo. McDonald, living southeast of DeWitt, Mrs. Alice TenEyck of DeWitt, and two sons, L. H. Walrod of southeast of town and Orrin Walrod, living in Wyoming.
