The body of William A. Wakefield was taken to LeClaire this morning for burial after funeral services were held at the Rockwell chapel. The Rev. M. J. Locke of the First M.E. church preached the sermon. Mrs. H. Chaffee and Miss Ruth Chaffee sang two special numbers "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me."

Mr. Wakefield was laid to rest beside his sister who passed away Monday in a Davenport hospital, and was buried yesterday in the LeClaire cemetery. Both were old residents of Clinton the former having removed to LeClaire several years ago.

The finding of the body of Mr. Wakefield in the river yesterday completed a trio of deaths since his disappearance last Wednesday, the other two being that of his aged employer, Andrew Bather, who died suddenly the day following, and that of his sister at a Davenport hospital Monday.

Mr. Wakefield leaves his wife, son Harry and a daughter Frances.
