Mrs. Marthalena Wiese died Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock after an illness of three weeks. Deceased was aged 84 years, 11 months and 8 days. Since the death of her husband about twelve years ago, she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Moritz Jacobsen. Five daughters, Mrs. Emma Christiansen of Platt, S.D.; Mrs. Fred Paarman, Mrs. Rymer Scheer, Mrs. Moritz Jacobsen and Mrs. William Peahl, all living in the vicinity of DeWitt, and one son Henry Wiese, of Huron, S.D. are left to mourn her death, besides a number of other relatives and many friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday at the Jacobson home.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Martha Lena Wiese was held Thursday afternoon at the Congregational church in DeWitt. The services were conducted by Rev. Coleman, a German minister of Clinton.

The pall bearers were Jacob Schroeder, Carl Witt, Geo. H. Stahl, Adolph Beckband, Ed Moldeschardt of DeWitt, Jergen Rodeman, Lyons. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery. Mrs. Emma Christiansen of Platt, South Dakota and William and Henry Weise of Bryant were out of town people who attended the funeral.
