WM. J. TRAUB DIES SUDDENLY IN BARBER SHOP
DEATH OF WELL KNOWN BUSINESS MAN IS GREAT SHOCK
FUNERAL TO BE HELD FRIDAY
Rheumatism of Heart Proves Fatal After Half Hour's Illness
Friends and the family of William J. Traub of this city were greatly shocked Tuesday evening by the sudden death of Mr. Traub which occurred in his barber shop about 8:45 or about a half hour after he was seized with rheumatism of the heart which was the cause of his demise.

A singular coincidence in connection with Mr. Traub's death was the fact that he was about to shave Emil Kofahl, whose father died Tuesday morning and Mr. Kafahl and Mr. Traub had been conversing on the subject, when Mr. Traub was seized and fell over unconscious. Mr. Kofahl immediately summoned aid and did what he could while a physician was coming. However, medical aid proved of no avail, and the unconscious man died shortly thereafter.

William Jacob Traub was born in Peoria, Ill, Sept. 8, 1959, and came to this city with his parents 42 years ago, and has lived here ever since. For the past 19 years he has been conducting a barber shop at 518 Main street and during his business career here made many friends.

Deceased is survived by his wife, one daughter, Lillian, of this city, a brother Peter of Bardstown, Cal. and a sister Josephine of Mackinaw, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the home 309 South Seventh street and burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
