page 6William A. Edney, a resident of this city for many years, died Sunday morning at 8 o'clock at Mercy Hospital. Mr. Edney had submitted to an operation early last week, and was thought to be getting along nicely. A change for the worse came Friday and he gradually grew worse until the end.
Deceased was born in Vincennes, Ind. October 1st, 1858, passing away on his birthday. He came to Clinton in 1865, and has resided here ever since.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. B. J. Kniest of St. Louis, Mrs. John Hannaher of Fargo, N.D. and Mrs. T. C. Hannaher of this city. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the T. C. Hannaher home on South Seventh street to St. Irenaeus church where requiem high mass will be celebrated. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.
Friends are kindly asked to omit flowers.

page 6Funeral services for the late William Albert Ednay were held at 9 o'clock this morning from St. Irenaeus church and burial was in Calvary cemetery. Rev. James Comeford preached a fitting funeral sermon.
The pallbearers were S. N. Robb, John Dever, J. E. Purcell, L. E. Madden, Arthur Foran and P. Lanagan.
