Ludwig Finis, 56, Wheatland, died at 1:05 a.m. Nov. 8 in University hospital, Iowa City. He had been ill for five years.

He was born Dec. 10, 1900, in Oberlistingen, Germany. He came to the United States and to Scott county in 1924. He married Ella Dierksen July 7, 1934. The couple farmed near Wheatland.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Dennis Schilling, Milwaukee, Wis.; a son, Don, with the U.S. navy in Key West, Fla.; a granddaughter, a brother, and four sisters, all in Germany.

Funeral services were held Monday in the Runge chapel at Davenport. Burial was in the Dixon cemetery.
