MARTIN HANSEN SUCCUMBS TO AWFUL INJURIES
Martin C. Hansen, who was the victim of an accident some two weeks ago when his leg was amputated as a consequence of being lacerated in a mower, died this morning at 2:45 from tetanus. Deceased was operated upon but owing to the fact that so much blood was lost while he was being conveyed to the hospital, it was impossible to save his life, as blood poison set in and his death occurred as above stated.

Deceased was born in Schleswig-Holstein Germany, April 14, 1863 and came to this country in 1887. On March 13 he was united in marriage to Miss Johanna Meir in this city and has resided here since that time. For the past nine years he has been mill foreman at the Champion Milling company's plant in this city.

Mr. Hansen is survived by his wife, also the following children: Mrs. John Hansen of Denison, Mrs. James Deyl of Clinton, Harry of this city, Mrs. Carl Bromann of this city and Dora, John, August and Martin; three brothers, August of Denison, Henry of this city and Jens in Germany, also one sister, Katrine Wittrock, of this city.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3:30 from the home on North Ninth street, with Rev. Lutz officiating. Burial will be made in Oakland cemetery.

Funeral services for the late Martin C. Hansen will be held Friday afternoon from the home on North Ninth street, and will be in charge of the Woodmen of the world. The services at the home will be at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Lutz officiating, and burial will be made in Oakland cemetery.

The funeral services for the late Martin C. Hansen were held Friday afternoon from the home on North Ninth street, at 2:30 o'clock and burial was made in Oakland cemetery.

Rev. Lutz conducted the service during which Miss Gladys Shadduck and Miss Kate Lundy rendered several hymns. The pallbearers were the following friends of the deceased: Louis Krebs, John Sieh, Rudolph Dalchow, Otto Pehrs, R. Bertramsen and Jens Asmussen.
