page 7Mrs. Porter Hicks, formerly Miss Anna Stange of Clinton died Saturday night at her home in Sterling. The body will be brought to the home of her sister, Mrs. J. L. Smith, 326 Ninth avenue, tonight, where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. F. H. Burrell of St. John's church officiating.
Mrs. Hicks was born in Clinton, March 15, 1888, and lived here until her marriage to Porter Hicks, October 19, 1908, when they moved to Sterling.
Left to mourn her death are her husband and two little daughters Phyllis and Margaret, her father Henry Stange, five brothers, Will of Sterling, Clyde of Wichita, Kan., Hans and August of Lyons, and three sisters, Mrs. Cyrus Martin, Morrison, Mrs. B. C. Ackerman, Lyons, and Mrs. J. C. Smith of Clinton.
Mrs. Hicks was a member of the Woman's Association of Maccabees.
Burial will be made in Oakland cemetery, Lyons.
