Dennis Doone, 70 years old, died at Mercy hospital Wednesday afternoon after an illness of six months.

Mr. Doone was born in Ireland and came to this country when he was a young man. His wife died several years ago. The children are Charles, Lizzie and Mrs. Peter Miller, all of Davenport.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at St. Patrick's church, with interment at St. Mary's cemetery.

Dennis Doone was laid to rest in Springdale cemetery Friday morning after funeral services at St. Patrick's church. The pall bearers were: James Creigh, Charles Whalen, Frank Lynch, Joseph Tobin, Cass Estabrook and Michael Noonan.
